Delkor increases presence in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Delkor Group of Companies has established a Sub-Saharan Africa business unit in order to provide marketing, sales and aftermarket support services for the full suite of Delkor’s solid-liquid separation equipment focused on the needs of the Sub-Saharan market.

Known as Delkor Sub-Saharan Africa (DSSA), the business unit is located at the offices of Bateman Engineered Technologies (the equipment supply division of Bateman Engineering) in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, South Africa. It is the tenth regional operation in Delkor’s extensive global network which covers Canada, Chile, Peru, Brazil, UK, Russia, India, China and Australia.

Delkor, which was acquired in 2008 by Bateman Engineering, has considerably extended the range of solid-liquid separation equipment offered by Bateman Engineered Technologies. The full range of process equipment available from Delkor and Bateman Engineered Technologies is now marketed globally under the Delkor brand, and covers the entire spectrum including filtration, sedimentation, clarification, screening, flotation and flocculant plants.

The Delkor office in South Africa enhances the company’s ability to respond to the unique local requirements of the natural resources industry in the Sub-Saharan region and is backed by Delkor’s reputation for the supply of quality engineered products to its client base in the minerals, chemical and industrial markets.

With a track record that stretches over 35 years, Delkor has been responsible for more than 2100 installations worldwide.

Delkor Sub-Saharan Africa is headed by Pieter Jordaan who has been with the Bateman Engineering Group for two and half years. With a B.Eng (Mechanical) and a MBA, he has 13 years experience in the mining and slurry handling field.
